Making Peace between the Church, the Jews & Moslems
via the Spirit of Truth

by Maravot
(originally sent 1.21.96 to a priest in the Vatican).

This page was long ago posted at the top of Maravot's Index.html.
Through the passage of time there is evidence that what is often obvious is not easily seen.
I have moved this page to this place, knowing that when its time is come one will search it out.

page 1

The Catholic Community [Internet] is an important place for an agenda of reconciliation, in as much as it is visited by many knowledgeable people of the Christian, Judaic, and Moslem religions – and they are all searching out important questions. For the first time in 2,000 years the people Christ attends are entering the same room! Through a sharing of their knowledge a greater communion within the Chat Room can be realized, and with it will come the salvation of many lives – lives which will otherwise be wasted in a great, confusing battle in the desert. Thus, this conversation hopes to save your childrens' lives.

The first part of the reconciliation process involves very good news. When the Chat Room
(2) opened I opined that to the Koran Jesus is the Messiah (in Greek spelled, Christ):

Koran, IMRANS 3:45 The angels said to Mary: "Allah bids you rejoice in a Word from Him. His name is

(the Messiah, the son of Mary).

For those interested in a short survey of the Koran, how it claims it was written to confirm that the Law of Moses and Holy Scriptures are true, as well as confirming that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah), click here on (pages 237-240) Hidden_Pavilions5.html. After you have scrolled through the assorted verses you will see an angel. Click on the angel and it will return you back to this place.

This was not received by most who heard it as being good news, however. "If followers of the Koran already are required to accept Jesus as the Christ, and since the Koran is essentially silent on what Christ is, it follows that in shepherding a Moslem all one need do is open the Bible and search what it says about Christ," I argued. This should be very good news to anyone who is interested in saving the lives of those destined to die in battle over the differences between the Moslem, Jewish, and Christian faiths. The multitudes who died in the past over the differences literally perished for the lack of knowledge [Hosea 4.6]. One of the people in the room responded that the Koran calls Jesus only a prophet, and thus Moslems are far from God. This is a common misconception which ruled the centuries. I answered that this erroneous opinion Pope John Paul II continued in his book, "Crossing the Threshold of Hope," to wit:

"Crossing the Threshold of Hope" pp. 92, 93...Jesus is mentioned, but only as a prophet...

page 2

Nothing Holy to God can lie [re: Leviticus 11.44; Proverbs 14.5]. We hold to the well thought out idea that God is capable of all things except to lie (an accepted precept from the beginning of the Holy Scriptures until now). He says that once His Word, like an arrow, is sent from His mouth, He cannot call it back. This is again expressed in Proverbs 30.4-6, to wit:

Proverbs 30.6 Add thou not unto his words lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Psalm 119.60 The head of your word is truth [NIV]; Thy Word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever [KJ].

Those who can handle reproof and order their conversation aright are adored; those who refuse reproof fall into the lot of the wicked, who:

Psalm 52.3..lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness.
52.4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

It is a truth that the words which lie behind the bloodshed between Moslems and Christians (on both sides) involve misstatements of the truth as in the Pope's perception noted above. Had the Pope known that the Koran calls Jesus the Messiah, I am sure he would have changed his expression and perhaps even gladly embraced the Moslems. For once one agrees that Jesus is the Messiah, and knowing that Catholics must accept Jesus as of God [II Clement 1.1; see also John 8.42, "I came forth from God.."], then the knowledge that the Koran honors (worships) Jesus as the Messiah also must be accepted that it honors Jesus as of God. This knowledge thus takes away the claws of those who justify killing Moslems "because they do not believe in Christ." Falsehoods such as the one in the Pope's book can be easily removed in a forum of reasonable men. Once removed then, there can be peace in Jerusalem.

Until the falsehoods are removed there will be

(no peace in the world)

More good news: How the first Apostolic Council can help us reconcile

I am bound to St. Peter's chair. My point of view is the same as St. Peter's and St. James', which is Christ's. And this point of view, as it turns out, is also accepted by the Koran. That the Koran accepts Jesus as the Christ is a good thing; but even more remarkable is the fact that it honors the Law of Moses which the first Apostolic Council also honored.

With this knowledge Moslems can be brought to openly respect St. Peter's chair. So I am opening into the faith a good third of the population in the world [Moslems] with just a small conversation about the truth.

The Pope could have avoided making his error in "Crossing the Threshold of Hope" and I am partly responsible for that. For my plea has been recorded in a multi-volume, 1,000 page book through a conversation between myself and William F. Buckley Jr. (of National Review, Firing Line, etc); and in that conversation, which lasted 2 1/2 years, until May 1995, I pointed out these curious confirmations in the Koran which seemingly have been ignored by the Church since the eighth century. This is odd, since we are dealing with Christ's name (and His honor), and one would think that
to refuse one who agrees that Jesus is the Christ, to refuse one who also honors the Law Jesus honored, would be a source of grief in the long-suffering eyes of heaven.

Before the Pope's book was published I requested Mr. Buckley to forward to the Pope a portion of our discussion, in particular that of the Koran, so that the Pope could approach the Moslems armed with the blessed knowledge that the Koran honors Christ's name. Had the argument gotten to the Pope, the false statement in "Crossing the Threshold of Hope," I am sure, would never have occurred!

There is another part of the argument which also requires exposure, and this part hits a central nerve of the Pauline Church. Keeping with the idea that the Koran accepts Jesus as the Messiah leads us to the other feature of the Koran relating to the Law of Moses, above mentioned. The Koran represents that its only mission (besides honoring Jesus as the Messiah and also warning of the Day of Resurrection) is to confirm that the Holy Scriptures are true. This is good news to the first Apostolic Council and Christ. I need not quote all the verses, but this should suffice:

page 4

Koran, Women 4:47 You [Jews] to whom the Scriptures were given! Believe in that which we have revealed, confirming your own scriptures..

Again, taking the Koran at its word, as with its position that Jesus is the Christ, we are led to close the Koran and open the Holy Scriptures which the Koran says it confirms. In shepherding Moslems one need not discuss the Koran. It says it was written as a guide to the Arabs (the Koran calls Mohammed the apostle of the Arabs), and by its nature it cannot contradict the Holy Scriptures it says it confirms. This also should be very good news, or sweet water [marah] to those who want to stop the killing. Because

(the Koran accepts the Law of Moses).

(see AL-AHQAF, for another instance), and with its acceptance of Jesus as the Christ, we can put its followers in the same pews as St. Peter and the original Apostolic Council in Jerusalem (which in St. Peters' cathedral in Rome are empty). Accepting those who honor the Law – like St. Peter and St. James – will bring into the Church the Jews. By addressing their faith – who accept the Law of Moses and follow Jesus the Christ – we can also reconcile other Jews to them by pointing out how the Messiah of Isaiah 7.14 and Isaiah 53 has already come and cannot come in that mission again. The prophesy of the Sign of the Virgin has been fulfilled, for Isaiah 7.14-24 ends with the point that the Sign of the Virgin is a sign of the scattering of Israel (which Jesus also spoke about), which is now in the past! The sign that the scattering is over is evidenced in the restoration of the scattered remnant of the Children of Israel to the land of Israel. The prophets were quite clear on this, but this should suffice:

Daniel 12.7..and when He shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the Holy people, all these things shall be finished.

page 5

We know that this prophesy of the scattering is fulfilled when we see the Holy people being re-established in the land of Israel. Again, since the Koran accepts the Holy Scriptures, no Moslem should disagree with this judgment. Nor should the Jews object to this judgment: if the Jews suggest that the scattering has not yet been accomplished, including the provision of Isaiah 7.14, then they would be tempting God to scatter them off the land again. Thou shalt not tempt the LORD thy God [Deut. 6.16].

One precept leads to another (See Isaiah 28.9-13; 29.14-24), as blocks of light raising a building [Proverbs 24.4] (which is what we are doing). By allowing this good conversation we are building (or repairing might be a better expression) the Catholic Church into a congregation which becomes a greater House of Prayer for all people.

To get to that place, we need to address St. Peter's chair and accept the Apostolic Council's position on the Law of Moses and the Jews. This is that judgment:

Acts 21.21 [James passing sentence on Paul] ..thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
21.23 Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;
21.24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, that they may shave their heads; and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.

This judgment is true and is good news to those who have been persecuted because they honor[ed] the Law of Moses. Paul, incidentally, has yet to apologize to the Jews, whom he tempted to abandon the Law. Rather than correct his speech he went on deriding the Jews and the Law of Moses (his epistles reek with declamations against the Circumcised Church – who honored the Law of Moses).

page 6

Now Paul's point of view, resulted in this, which was

(condemned above)

Martin Luther's Tract 1543 A.D.

What shall we Christians do with this damned, rejected race of the Jews? ..Let me give you my honest advice:

(1)

(To set fire to their synagogues)

or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn..This is to be done in honor of the Lord.

page 7

(2) I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed..
(3) I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings, in which such idolatry, lies, cursing, and blasphemy are taught, be taken from them.
(4) I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach henceforth on pain of loss of life and limb..
(5) I advise that safe-conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews..
(6) I advise ..that all silver and gold be taken from them..
(7) I recommend putting a flail, an ax, an hoe, a spade, a distaff, or a spindle into the hand of young, strong Jews and Jewesses and letting them earn their bread in the sweat of their brow..

Hitler took Luther at his word and came up with what is now remembered as the Final Solution: the holocaust [meaning burnt offering] which consumed 6 million Jews. Had Paul done as the Apostolic Council judged, the holocaust and all of the previous victims persecuted because they honored the Law could not have been put on his account. For these are Paul's orders, even now:

(the Church's Orders)

Acts 15.19 [James speaking for the Apostolic Council] Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
15.20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
15.21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day.

page 8

That Paul agreed to abide with these orders is evident in the following:

Galatians 1.7 Contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter..

I am not out to bash or bait anyone, as Paul bashed and baited the Jews against his commission, but rather we can use this knowledge to reconcile many shepherds who assume that Christ and his first Apostolic Council would agree with Paul's condemnation of them (the Circumcised Church) who continued to honor the Law. Tertullian – considered by many to be the father of the Catholic Church – taught against false doctrines and pointed out how a doctrine can be idol worship; thus, for the honor of a false doctrine, such as Paul's assumption that those who honor the Law cannot be saved, the people – recently 6 million Jews – perish[ed]. Thus, we enter our plea, that by removing the false doctrines which condemn those who honor the Law we will save multitudes of lives. Many American children will be sacrificed in the sands of the Middle East if the doctrines are allowed to continue their work.

The Pauline branch of the Catholic Church has its authority in Acts 15.19-21 quoted above. Christ cannot deny that judgment. Not only because His apostles and even his brother set it, but because it is fair and right. The judgment was to leave the Jews alone, that they would continue to honor the law of Moses (they are required to do so – see Deuteronomy 26.17-19; 27.26 and particularly 28.58; et al.; 30, 30.7 requiring an underline;) and, of course, we have this:

Isaiah 49.25..I will contend with him that contendeth with thee [see also Genesis 27.29 ed. note;] and I will save thy children.
49.26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh..and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
8.20 To the Law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because

(There is no light in them).

page 9

For obvious reasons, stated above, the LORD has a controversy with Paul's againstness of the Law, which involved many condemnations such as this:

II Corinthians 3.14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in their reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.

Galatians 5.2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
5.4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Paul's many declamations as above brought the Law into dishonor and unfairly called the Holy Scriptures old [sic. The Old Testament] and passed away. But Christ then, now, and forever must apply this rule:

Isaiah 42.21 [referring to the mission of the Light of the Gentile who does not lift himself up nor cause his voice to be heard in the streets {42.2}]..He will magnify the Law and make it honorable.

Jesus was quite familiar with Isaiah 42 [re: Matt. 12.16], 49 and 61, as these chapters all carry the same message, of preaching good tidings, to open the blind's eyes, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound..to comfort all that mourn... What you now know He knew.

The Apostolic Council made a very just decision when they observed that the Jews should not abandon the Law. That the Gentile Church (uncircumcised Church) need not be bound by the Law is also a just judgment. Rather than honoring the decisions of the Apostolic Council, Paul persecuted them and the Jews with speech which offended the very foundations of the Jewish (and Christ's) faith. Paul brought forth the offence through the following (he was on the right track, but he used the wrong approach, not entering through the sheep-gate, as it were):

Romans 1.17..as it is written, the just shall live by faith..

page 10

This is Paul's source scripture:

Habakkuk 2.3 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the Just shall live by his faith.

(Paul misquoted the scripture!).

That the Jews of Paul's time knew the meaning of Habakkuk as applying to the Law of Moses (Torah), is evident in the Dead Sea Scrolls, as below. Paul should have known better.

Commentary on Habakkuk ..But the righteous through his faithfulness shall live. This refers to all Jews who carry out the Law. On account of their labor and of their faith in him who expounded the Law aright, God will deliver them from the house of judgment.

This commentary leads us to my opening precept, of ordering the conversation aright:

Psalm 50.23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

page 11

We are opening an issue which leads to the salvation of many. Let's agree with St. Peter, that the judgment begins with us in the Catholic Chat room, to wit:

I Peter 4.16 Yet, if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
4.17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

St. Peter and I have been speaking to you about the gospel of God, and this comes down to building a House of Prayer for all people. We are at the moment when that House is due and when many people are prepared to enter. But they cannot enter a chamber where others who honor the gospel of God are condemned. For instance, as opined in this letter, Moslems would not enter a Catholic church but they enter the Catholic Chat room; so too is it with many who in curiosity enter the room where they would not have entered before because of the condemnation from pulpits of all persuasions.

The correction I mentioned above will, if honored, provide an opening for many Jews and Moslems to come into the Church, for

(The Terms of entry are Christ's).

page 12

I bear witness to the truth and am willing to put certain truths on the table where everyone can see them and examine them. Where I am in error I appreciate being corrected, for this is how one gets knowledge, and reproofs of instruction are the way of life [Proverbs 6.23]. Reproof must be on sound scriptural foundations, however.

I honor Truth above all things, as did Jesus who used the expression the most of the prophets (according to my concordance). Expressing the Truth is dear to Him, i.e.:

John 18.37..for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.

Everyone that is of the truth heareth my voice.

It follows that when we bear witness to the Truth it glorifies Christ. Those who attempt to shut it [the truth] off do Him dishonor.

page 13

It is a Truth that Christ cannot deny the Jews nor even the Moslems, who honor his name, from entering his sheep-gate. The distortions of doctrine – which surfaced in a condemnation of the Law and the Jews and later the Koran and its followers; with condemnations also expressed from the Moslems and the Jews – have shown an ability to bring multitudes of nations to ruin. It is time to truly adopt the vision of comforting all of them that mourn because of the false doctrines. A good way to comfort them is to feed them the knowledge of the truths above – Wisdom is life to those who have it [Eccles. 7.11] – and that to drink of that knowledge we need Paul's chief representative to

(apologize to the Jews)

as the Apostolic Council judged, and it is necessary also that the Pope release an errata to his book. Those who have eaten of this small book should see that his Holiness takes this opportunity to correct the error. For whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest [Eccles. 9.10]. In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death [Proverbs 12.28]. (3)

Upon these small corrections the lives of many are suspended. I realize that pastors must go back to their congregations to inform them of the mistakes noted above. This is but a piece of the thousand page book of Mr. Buckley's and my conversation, which reduces to this idea:

It is God's responsibility to teach you His Way [Micah 4.2; Isaiah 2.3], that ye may know [Micah 6.5-8; Isaiah 43.10], etc.; and once you know something which can save lives you have a duty to not keep silent. We witnessed what silence can do when the smoke from the holocaust raised up from the pit. Now you too have knowledge which should be shouted from the rooftops.

page 14

The Papal office, at the moment, has a spot of unholiness attached to it. For nothing Holy to God can have a lie attached to its garment [Proverbs 29.12, 14.5-6, 11.9, 3.35, 1.7 Eccles. 10.1,12.14]. Rabbi Hillel said that an ignoramus cannot be pious [Avot 2; Bahir Pt. 1.184]. Remember that the LORD said that he shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil [Eccles. 12.14].

If you prefer to treat the matter of the Pope's false statement as plain ignorance, then this rule applies:

Enoch 30.6 ..I cursed Ignorance, but what I had blessed previously, those I did not curse, I cursed not man, nor the earth, nor other creatures, but man's evil fruit, and his works..

– and brings a curse upon the Church. The Pope must capitulate to the God of Truth:

Psalm 96.12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
96.13 before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth.

(Where Maravot came from).

A notion of the LORD's Judgment is expressed in Psalm 119.97-104, known as the open Mem. The open Mem has been identified by the rabbis with the [feminine] Hebrew word for water: mayim. That name is in the name of heaven: Shamayim. The throne of heaven is on the seventh level which is called Aravot, meaning also west. From this we have:

Isaiah 43.5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west.

page 15

Though you were also told:

Isaiah 59.19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west..

If He is feared no doubt it is because He carries the Truth with Him.

There is nothing in me which any Christian, Moslem, or Jew who is of the Truth should refuse. For I stand on Psalm 12 which carries the entire message of the Bible. Those who look onto me (I am as a mirror or a pool of water) will see a Great Troop: of sages, church fathers, rabbis and prophets (who have much invested in me). Together, as we embrace yet a larger troop, we can make the world more peaceful and less destructive. We can mix together, as it is said: Bahir, Samuel Weiser, Inc, 156: "Why is west called MaAReV? Because it is there that all seed is mixed together [MitARev]." In the Zohar, marah is envisioned as the hidden one, the mirror which does not shine [Zohar, Paulist Press, 108, 109, 185-187], and this relates to Isaiah 42.2 and 63.5 and more complex ideas, how light is reflected from God to the world by means of a Great Troop carrying, as it were, mirrors.

Just as a King's Wisdom is reflected in his messenger, the LORD, the God of Truth [Isaiah 65.16], cannot send forth a foolish shepherd or a false messenger. Though His messengers are seemingly bitter, after the people drink of the teaching (moreh of truth), and obtain the vision of this truth, the afflicted soul will be satisfied (Isaiah 58.6-11), the sealed Golden Gate will be opened, and your troubles with His Holy Spirit will not be remembered anymore (Isaiah 64.16). Now this is a word of knowledge for those who have ears to hear.

The Bahir Pt 1.186 notes that if a person does not act with kindness (chesed) towards himself, he cannot be called pious (chasid). Now water is connected to Chakhmah-Wisdom..and this is alluded to in the word EMeT-Truth.. and Chakhmah-Wisdom is the root of Chesed-Love [Bahir Pt 2.59]. We close this thought with Proverbs 3.35: Thus, The wise shall inherit glory, which explains this [Isaiah 6.3]: The whole earth is filled with His Glory; and this links to the precept of deliverance through the Lord's knowledge:

An Hypocrite, with his mouth destroyeth his neighbor: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered [Proverbs 11.9];

page 16

These explain what is meant in Isaiah 53:

Isaiah 53.11..by His knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many, for He will bear their iniquities.

Why will He bear their iniquities?

As it is said:

Eccles. 1.18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow [see also the man of sorrows, Isa. 53.3; ed. note].

One who is described as above speaks through Psalm 119.97-104. He is the water of truth, and the Mem. The water of truth has the same numerical value (40) as the Mikvah, the ritual pool used for purification. The Mikvah thus represents the womb. Says the Bahir Pt. 2.86, When a person enters the Mikvah, it is like he re-enters the womb, and when he emerges, it is like he is reborn. Now this is how Christ came to be manifested to the world, for the knowledge of the Holy Spirit is as of the waters of heaven; thus Jesus said, I baptize with the Holy Spirit...and ye must be reborn, etc. The Holy Spirit is also called the Shekhinah, the Glory of YHVH which resided upon the Mercy Seat of the Tabernacle, which led the Children of Israel through the desert for 40 years. I mention all of this to reflect the level of knowledge from whence Jesus came.

(Open ye the Golden Gate!).

page 17

We close on the notion of the Golden Gate from whence I write. In Jerusalem the principal gate to the Temple Mount is the Golden Gate. This is where the sages conversed, including Jesus, together with the beggars, until the gate was sealed with stones by the Turks several hundred years ago. The Sealed Golden Gate is an obstruction to the epiphany of the Second Coming. The Moslems, who control the temple mount, have left the Golden Gate sealed because it is said that the Jewish Messiah must come through that gate. Before the Golden Gate, to further inhibit the Messiah, is a host of graves of Moslems. These are buried in front of the gate because the Moslems believe that the Jewish Messiah will not pass through a graveyard of Moslems. To further inhibit the Messiah there is also a wrought iron fence in place before the Golden Gate.

This small scroll provides a means by which to remove the stones, the graves, and the gate of iron so that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter [Psalm 118.19]. When those stones are removed, then there will be peace in Jerusalem and the world. Until men can come to peacefully open that gate (also called the Gate of Righteousness), there will be tribulation, for as long as you hold to the concerns of the world and avoid the concerns of the Spirit of Truth, you shall have tribulation [John 16.33].

The Internet can be a good place to root out controversial topics, but the truth to many matters is often left unanswered and undone. As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man [Proverbs 27.14]. Searching your heart, as a rebel in Truth, I am

Sincerely yours,

NOTES

(1) Note explaining text graphics: It has been a tradition in the Midrash to use all caps for emphasis. We applied this here to break up large sections of text through large graphic images. We recognize that there is a custom on the internet to not type in caps, because it is considered shouting. I apologize for the epiphany of a great shout to those who are offended by it.

(2) This was written with regard to the AOL Catholic Chat room(s).
(3) In my August 23, 2006 edit I acknowledge that I failed to make contact with regard to my appeal. It is noted that Pope John Paul II did make an effort to reconcile with the Jews and did apologize on behalf of the Church. Not enough has been done, at this August 2006 writing – in view of the murderous activities spreading around the world in the name of God. Had I made contact with the Pope, many lives might have been saved. I did some minor formating with red highlighting August 23, 2006.
